Directors Vision

Concept

My original concept was to have the protagonist takes on traits like a black hole, devouring and destroying everything he/she comes near and the struggles of the main character being so destructive because they have to stay distant from the ones they love. I played around with this idea to get the final concept.

The story is intended to follow explain and follow the struggles of the protagonist on a daily basis.  By the time the music video begins, we're going to see that he's already far gone and fed up with his ailment. He fell in love with a girl and clearly they have history. It's foreshadowed that this woman already knows of his ailment, which is his ability to destroy people with one look, similar to medusa. For his case, sunglasses work well on both eyes to not make that connect.

The music video opens with the protagonist getting ready for the day in his bathroom. He's seen getting dressed to the nines. Video always cuts off right below the eyes.

The protagonist delivers a note to his ex-lover, giving her an address. He wants to see her one last time before he ends himself. She goes directly there, despite fearing what might be waiting for her when she arrives. She's stuck there waiting, perhaps even stood up. The protagonist kicks around with if he's actually to go or not, making stops to get both presents for his love and alcohol, for himself to cope with all of the internal conflict. He keeps her waiting due to the fact of having second thoughts. He and the girl are both no strangers to the situation, as the protagonist has done something similar before, which is why she's so willing to go. Perhaps he just needs a friend again? She's willing to cater to all of his monstrosities as she still very much loves him in return.

Protagonist finally arrives and they're both wearing sunglasses. The protagonist and the girl have a moment, where the protagonist removes her sunglasses lovingly. Protagonist then hands the girl flowers he has bought and takes the opportunity while she's gazing at the flowers to remove his own glasses. She's completely unaware, yet sadly accepting of what's about to happen. Their eyes meet. The girl then gets blasted backwards, and inevitably blasted to her death. She's seen lying on the ground surrounded by her bloodied, shredded flower petals. The protagonist watches for a minute and then is seen walking off into the distance.

The protagonist is then seen back in his bathroom, looking into the mirror and removing his own sunglasses, offing himself.

Background information

Protagonist is very aware of his destruction. Just one direct look at any given individual will send them spiraling into oblivion. He wears sunglasses to keep everything one shade, reducing his temptation to gaze at anything that catches his eye. IE, bright colored shirts, etc.

Video Feel

Perhaps the majority of the MV can be super desaturated when through the eyes of the protagonist / until the end.

Synopsis:

Protagonist is seen getting ready for the day at the sink - washing hands, brushing teeth, etc - panning up the body, just cutting off his eyes. He continues to get ready for his day like it's his last, getting dressed to the nines, then heading out of the house.

In an undisclosed woman's hands, a note is being unraveled with an address on it.

Protagonist is seen speeding down the road, rushing to his destination.  A close up of a girl is seen, with wind blowing through her hair, showing her walking down the street, panning to the address in her hands.  The girl is also wearing sunglasses. She is prepared to meet up with the protagonist, who she knows has this 'ailment'.

Protagonist is seen making stops to various locations in his suit, buying a bouquet of white flowers and then purchasing alcohol. Protagonist makes a stop nearby the traveling woman, watching her from afar and drinking, taking a glance to the flowers.

Woman travels to the location listed on the note, standing there waiting seemingly a long time while the protagonist has internal conflict to not meet the woman, afterall. Woman is seen texting the protagonist 'Again?', implying this wasn't the first time the protagonist has stood the girl up.

The protagonist is seen angrily throwing his bottle away, walking from his car to the alley / field / location with the white flowers in hand, panning back and forth between the protagonist and the woman - wind blowing. The woman stands there, watching, waiting patiently, awaiting her demise.

The protagonist walks up to the woman, grabbing onto her sunglasses slowly, asking to remove them with his actions. The woman grabs onto his hand. With hesitation, she removes her hand as the protagonist removes her sunglasses and looks into her eyes, handing her the flowers.

The girl looks down to the flowers, admiring them. The protagonist takes the opportunity to remove his glasses, revealing a different sort of gaze (hopefully we can get some sort of cosmetic super colored contacts?). The girl looks up. Their eyes meet, as the girl begins to get blown backwards and away, destroying the flowers as the petals slowly fall to the ground (perhaps blood covered?), protagonist just watching.

Protagonist turns and starts walking back to his car. The girl is shown lying on the ground, covered in blood, next to one red flower. Protagonist is seen returning home to his bathroom, looking himself in the mirror and removing his sunglasses, offing himself.

LYRICS: Up To Me by Rockit Genaro

Im gone, light years away, fathoms deep in this starry sea.
Too far, the sound cant reach, atom bombs aren't bright enough to see.
I know, you're out there on the globe, which galaxy is holding your bones.
Oh no, lost and all alone fantom planets, cant see which one is home.

Is it up to me, closing the spaces in between.
Is it up to me, to make space seem not so deep.
Is it up to me, to make you see the stars i see.
Is it up to me.

Asteroids, whirling in my mind, oh collide with my memories.
Black holes, sucking at my soul, i subdivide my history.

Is it up to me, closing the spaces in between.
Is it up to me, to make space seem not so deep.
Is it up to me, to make you see the stars i see.
Is it up to me.

Outer space cant displace, my orbit round you
Cuz our embrace is interlaced, through and through.
And just incase i retrace, our loves tattoo.
Keep a straight face and don't erase, what you know is true.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
